Introdução: A acromegalia tem sido associada ao aumento da frequência de fraturas vertebrais. Os marcadores bioquímicos de remodelação óssea e a avaliação da microarquitetura e resistência ósseas podem esclarecer melhor a fisiopatologia da doença e otimizar o diagnóstico precoce das alterações ósseas na acromegalia. Objetivo: Avaliar a influencia da hipersecreção isolada de GH/IGF-I na remodelação, microarquitetura e resistência óssea em mulheres com acromegalia sem deficiência hipofisária, comparando-as com controles saudáveis.
