Aim: to investigate the clinical, biological, electrophysiological and imaging features associated with death or neurological impairment at one year of age, in term neonates with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) treated by therapeutic hypothermia (TH). Methods: our study is a monocentric retrospective descriptive one. Term newborns with a moderate or severe HIE treated by TH were consecutively included during two years. TH was initiated within the 6th hour after birth and lasted 72 hours. In all patients, a brain MRI before the eighth day was performed and at least two electroencephalograms were recorded.
