The lack of water catchment areas in the city of Surakarta due to dense development has resulted in the city of Surakarta experiencing various environmental problems such as flooding, land subsidence, and most recently, the problem of the groundwater crisis. The objectives of this study are: (1) to analyze the water catchment area in Surakarta City and (2) to analyze the harmony of the watershed conditions with the regional spatial layout in Surakarta City. The research method used is a survey method and tiered quantitative assessment with Geographical Information Systems analysis.
