This thesis explores the moral implications surrounding current and changing marijuana legislation. This topic is very pressing as more and more states are turning to decriminalization or legalization in efforts to reckon with the disastrous effects of the War on Drugs. This work is also very timely as two states have significantly changed their marijuana legislation just in the last two months (New Jersey legalized adult marijuana use on February 22, 2021 and New York legalized adult marijuana use on March 31st, 2021) and many other states have changed their marijuana legislation in the recent years.
