A specific design approach is formulated to design notched components of additively manufactured AISI 316L against constant/variable amplitude multiaxial fatigue loading. The accuracy of the proposed approach is checked against experimental results generated by testing, under constant/variable amplitude biaxial loading, plain/notched cylindrical specimens of 3D-printed AISI 316L. Specific experimental trials were run to investigate also the effect of out-of-phase angles equal to 90° and superimposed static stresses.
