International audienceWith nearly 9 million inhabitants, the capital of Iran is characterised by numerous traffic jams and significant air pollution. Despite massive investments in the public transport system over the past decade, daily mobility mainly relies on the use of the private car, taxis, collective taxis and more recently, ride-hailing services, accessible via smartphone applications. This article focuses on the uses of ride-hailing in Tehran's middle classes. A survey on ride-hailing uses and users was carried out in February 2019 in Tehran. 601 inhabitants responded.
