Meteorological causes ot flood situations in the Otava river basin

Meteorological causes of floods have been analysed to understand relations between circulation types and resulting discharge values. The paper focuses on identification of pressure fields leading to extreme discharge values. Fields of surface air pressure are analysed in a long-term period.
