Geotechnologies and Geography teaching: an analysis of the 1st year elementary school Geography textbook

The present research is the Course Completion Work presented to the Undergraduate Course in Geography, at the Federal University of Uberlândia - Institute of Human Sciences of Pontal. The textbook in the classroom is still widely used by teachers, so the main objective of this work is to analyze whether the concepts related to Geotechnologies are present in the textbooks of Geography in the 1st year of Elementary School. The choice of the 1st year of elementary school is justified, due to the fact that it is the introductory year to scientific content using textbooks. The Qualitative Research method was used, which aims to analyze the problem and propose actions that can collaborate in possible solutions. The methodology consisted of analyzes of the researched books, bibliographic research on the theme and organization of data through descriptive statistics, which made it possible to have a critical look as to how to previously evaluate textbooks, and thus, highlight the importance of Geotechnologies in themselves. As for the results obtained, it is stated that the didactic books of the 1st year researched, do not have significant information about Geotechnologies, therefore, it would be an important point to consider for the production of future literary works. In view of the above, the scientific relevance of this work is emphasized in order to improve the textbooks of the 1st year with more information containing Geotechnology tools, in this way, it is concluded that the objectives were achieved and contribute to other research in order to improve more and more this primordial tool that is the textbook.Pesquisa sem auxílio de agências de fomentoTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)A presente pesquisa compõe o Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso apresentado ao Curso de Graduação em Geografia, da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - Instituto de Ciências Humanas do Pontal. O livro didático na sala de aula ainda é muito utilizado pelos professores, dessa forma, o objetivo central desse trabalho consiste em analisar se os conceitos relativos às Geotecnologias estão presentes nos livros didáticos de Geografia no 1º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Justifica-se a escolha do 1º ano do Ensino Fundamental, mediante ao fato de ser o ano introdutório aos conteúdos científicos com uso de livros didáticos. Utilizou-se o método de Pesquisa Qualitativa, a qual, visa analisar o problema e propor ações que possam colaborar em possíveis soluções. A metodologia consistiu em análises dos livros pesquisados, pesquisas bibliográficas sobre a temática e organização dos dados por meio da estatística descritiva, a qual possibilitou ter um olhar crítico quanto a maneira de avaliar previamente os livros didáticos, e assim, ressaltar a importância de Geotecnologias nos mesmos. Quanto aos resultados obtidos, afirma-se que os livros didáticos do 1º ano pesquisados, não possuem informações significativas sobre as Geotecnologias, logo, seria um ponto importante a se considerar para a produção de futuras obras literárias. Diante do exposto, ressalta-se a pertinência científica deste trabalho no sentido de aprimorar os livros didáticos do 1º ano com mais informações contendo ferramentas das Geotecnologias, dessa forma, conclui-se que os objetivos foram atingidos e contribuem para outras pesquisas a fim de melhorar cada vez mais essa ferramenta primordial que é o livro didático
