This study aims to identify whether social, demographic and socioeconomic factors affects the perception and the real level of financial education of graduate and postgraduate teachers in public institutions of higher education in Brazil. To obtain data, an online questionnaire was applied, with statements that measures the respondents' perception and real knowledge about financial literacy. 549 valid responses were received, which underwent statistical tests and linear regression.
