The influence of partner relationships on the evolution of emerging companies

This work seeks to understand the causes of conflicts between partners in incubated start-ups and how the alignment between them, or the lack of it, interferes in the development of the business. The study covered the three most important points, the conflict itself, classifying the type of existing conflict; the partner's way of dealing with the episode, using a tool to classify the behavior of the partner involved; and the consequence for the business, that is, how the conflict positively or negatively interfered with the business. To understand the partner's behavior in the face of conflict, the respondent also filled out a questionnaire that resulted in the way he deals with the conflict, highlighting among the 3 respondents the modes of commitment, evasion and accommodation. Through the reports of key respondents, it was possible to identify the causes of the conflicts studied, which occurred mainly because they were not aligned in terms of information and perceptions, goals and personality differences. It was also possible, at the end of the interview, to identify several negative consequences to the start up, which could become more serious if the other partner did not leave the company, however, in all cases, some positive points were also identified, such as experience and learning which resulted in possibilities for improvements to the business.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)Esse trabalho busca compreender as causas de conflitos entre sócios em empresas nascentes incubadas e como o alinhamento entre eles, ou a falta dele, interfere no desenvolvimento do negócio. O estudo abrangeu os três pontos mais importantes, o conflito em si, classificando o tipo de conflito existente; o modo do sócio em lidar com o episódio, utilizando uma ferramenta de classificação do comportamento do sócio envolvido; e a consequência para o negócio, ou seja, modo como o conflito interferiu positiva ou negativamente no negócio. Para entender o comportamento do sócio diante do conflito, o entrevistado também preencheu um questionário que resultou no modo em que lida com o conflito, destacando-se entre os 3 entrevistados os modos de comprometimento, evasão e acomodação. Por meio dos relatos dos respondentes-chave foi possível identificar as causas dos conflitos estudados que se deram principalmente por não estarem alinhados quanto à informações e percepções, metas e diferenças de personalidade. Foi possível também, ao fim da entrevista, identificar várias consequências negativas à start up, que poderia se tornar mais graves caso o outro sócio não deixasse a sociedade, contudo, em todos os casos foi identificado também alguns pontos positivos, como a experiência e aprendizado que resultou em possibilidades de melhorias ao negócio.2023-06-1
