This dataset contains all the final charging documents for defendants charged before the International Criminal Court, International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and the Special Court for Sierra Leone. The dataset is contained in a MAXQDA2020 file. Each final charge has been coded with the name of the relevant defendant(s); the category of alleged offence (war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide-related); whether the charge is an alternative charge or not; and a descriptive summary of the crime.
