International audienceIn this paper, secrecy performance is investigated over the cascaded fading channel for the kappa - mu distribution. The probability density function (PDF) and the cumulative distribution function (CDF) for the cascaded kappa - mu fading channels as well as for some of its special cases, such as the Rayleigh and Rician fading channels are derived. A communication system operating over the cascaded kappa - mu fading channel is analyzed in which the outage probability (P-o), the average symbol error probability (ASEP), and the average channel capacity (ACC) are obtained in terms of the Meijer G-function.
