Rationale Pulmonary infections with nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are increasingly prevalent in people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Clinical outcomes following NTM acquisition are highly variable, ranging from transient self-resolving infection to NTM pulmonary disease associated with significant morbidity.
