Gulf of California Biogeographic Regions Based on Coastal Zone Color Scanner Imagery

Principal-component analysis was applied to define 14 regions. Ballenas Channel, between Angel de la Guarda and Baja California, and the upper gulf always appeared as very distinct regions.
