The article discusses organizational theory, focusing on computer simulations. A critique of the varieties of organizational theory is offered, including such specialties as resource dependence, decision theory, population ecology and institutional theory. The potential ability of a computerized mathematical model to synthesize these divergent perspectives into a multi-dimensional and more realistic representation of organizational behavior is discussed. A test simulation which involved a baseline code of some three thousand lines and ran for thirty hours is described
