The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT/PF) has considered several alternatives for maintaining the Denali Highway. The Alaska Center for the Environment asked the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) to review published estimates of the cost of maintaining the road to see if they are consistent with standard economic methodology. To conduct this review we relied primarily on two DOT/PF memorandums and a spreadsheet.
