Abstract This research employs ex post facto design which aimed to find out (1) the students’ personality, (2) the students’ learning motivation, (3) the students’ English achievement, (4) the effect of personality on English learning achievement, (5) the effect of motivation on English learning achievement and (6) the effect of personality and motivation on English learning achievement. The sample of 90 students was selected by using cluster random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests.
