ABSTRACT The aims of this research are to analyse local-based creative economy to support tourism attraction and to propose strategies and programs for localbased creative economy in traditional housing zone of Balla Peu in Mamasa regency. The subjects of this research are government, community, owner of the creative industry and tourists who visit Mamasa regency. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation which were then analysed through quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as SWOT analysis. The research shows that Balla Peu is potential to be developed as tourism attraction. However, accessibility does not support the existence of Balla Peu as tourism attraction.
