This work has as a target the study of the significant role of the Dominicans in Cordoba and the rest of the religious orders in the sermons established by the council in the meeting room during the Thursdays of Lent. Throughout 17th century, all the spiritual children of Saint Domingo of Guzman invited belong to the influential and prestigious convent of Saint Paul the Royal. One exceptional case is the blessed friar Francis of Posadas, member of the Scala Coeli comunity, who has a great ancestor in the Cordobesian society of his time due to his commendable pastoral work and his life witness.
