The purpose of the present study was to examine the contribution of organizational, personal and demographic variables in predicting perceived levels of burnout in a sample of 171 teachers working in public and private education institutions (preschool, elementary school, and middle school). Participants completed measures of job satisfaction, work stress, perceived teacher working context (supervisory support, lack of professional recognition, organizational conditions, and professional worry), affectivity, and socio-demographics (age, sex, marital status, religion, job experience, kind of education institution, and level in teaching).
