Estudio sobre el proceso de integración laboral de las educadoras y educadores sociales en Andalucía

ABSTRACTThe article shows the results of a study carried out by the author which analyse the characteristics of the labour integration process of social educators in Andalusia. The data and conclusions are derived from research conducted in the first three promotions of students graduating in this region. We applied a questionnaire a year after finishing the degree. The study inquires about data after employment such as: the employability, the type of contract and working hours, the time that takes to find the first job, the professional category, the type of company and field of work, the mode of employment search, etc. The results reveal an unstable and fragile employability, even though most of the graduates are working in the professional field in which they were trained, half of the graduates but particularly for nearly a third of the female segment, work on shifts in part-time jobs and without social security.RESUMENEl presente trabajo pretende mostrar los resultados de un estudio cuya intención es identificar las características del proceso de inserción laboral de las educadoras y educadores sociales en Andalucía. Los datos y conclusiones se obtienen desde una investigación realizada a las tres primeras promociones de estudiantes egresados en esta comunidad. Pasamos un cuestionario al año de terminar la carrera. El estudio indaga sobre diferentes aspectos laborales después del término de los estudios como: la empleabilidad, el tipo de contrato y jornadas de trabajo, el tiempo que tardan en encontrar el primer trabajo, la categoría profesional, el tipo de empresa y ámbitos de trabajo, el modo de búsqueda de empleo, etc. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto una inserción profesional inestable y frágil pues aunque la mayoría de los egresados trabaja en el campo profesional en el que se han formado, la mitad de ellos y casi un tercio del segmento femenino, lo hace con jornada en turnos, en trabajos a tiempo parcial y sin seguridad social.
