In this article we share the place that we gave to the tales and narrative as method and forms of knowledge in a doctoral research. For this a genealogy between narrative methodology and Arts Based Research (IBA) is developed. This crossing allows to understand the narrative turn in the social sciences and their contributions to qualitative research, especially the contributions of literary and art research methods in the educational experience.
