Une analyse exploratoire des liens entre mobilité quotidienne et ancrage résidentiel. Vers une approche écologique de la mobilité ?

International audienceThe aim of this paper is to contribute to ongoing considerations on daily mobility conceived of as a « sociospatial fact », being both spatial interaction and social interaction. It does so by laying the foundations of a theoretical approach, setting daily trips into their spatial, and particularly territorial, base. Structured interviews (n=9), conducted in Luxembourg, both nourished the theoretical reflection and allowed to collect the individual representations of mobility and of their living environment. Results suggest that daily trips and the residential base form a system of spatial insertion, a way of living, based on which individuals see and live the city, thus opening the way towards an ecological approach to mobility.Cet article apporte une contribution à la réflexion sur la mobilité quotidienne en tant que « fait socio-spatial » à la fois interaction spatiale et interaction sociale. Il s’agit, ici, de jeter les bases d’une approche théorique replaçant les déplacements quotidiens dans leur ancrage spatial et en particulier résidentiel. Pour alimenter cette réflexion théorique, des entretiens semi-directifs (n=9) ont été réalisés au Luxembourg et ont permis de recueillir les représentations individuelles de la mobilité et du cadre de vie. Les résultats de l’analyse des discours laissent entendre que les déplacements quotidiens et l’ancrage résidentiel forment un système d’insertion spatiale, un mode d’habiter, à partir duquel les individus voient et vivent la ville, ouvrant ainsi la voie à une approche écologique de la mobilité
