Title written in margin on board along bottom. Caption on back.The commercial artist Henry Behr (originally Heinrich Bähr) was born in Worms in 1897. He and his wife Bertha (originally from Cologne) spent three and half years in Theresienstadt, where he drew his comments on the life in the concentration camp. After his liberation and before his emigration to the US he stayed a the camp for “Displaced Persons” in Deggendorf, Bavaria. He then finished his pencil drawings in the present media.
