International audienceWe have characterized the purification potential of ditches and ponds constituting the hydraulic network of the 2000 hectares of La Vilaine river basin, affluent of the river Layon in Maine-et-Loire, within the “Vilaine” project supported by the Syndicat Mixte du Bassin du Layon (SMBL), of which one of the objectives is to reduce the Vilaine pesticides pollution. After a pre-location of ditches and ponds by orthophotographies photo-interpretation, we have defined a typology of the different elements making up of this hydraulic network based on their purification potential, gathered on the field from their function of water collection, water storage/transfer and/or pesticides retention/degradation.
