International audienceThe current paper, excerpted from a survey based on questionnaires and interviews bears upon the second career of some French Olympic shortlisted sportsmen. After having wondered how starting a second career can be thought of in sociology, this article sheds light on a paradox: if those who are surveyed get access -as a gist- to high profile positions socially speaking, most of the time those positions remain tied to the world of sport, thus provoking a feeling of concealment.
