Les emplois occasionnels dans les associations d'économie sociale

With the exception of private households which employ domestic workers, the voluntary sector is the most active user of casual jobs (defined from the “annexed post” concept of Insee) by comparison with the private sector and the public one. Indeed, one post out of three pertains to this type of job in voluntary associations. Drawing on the annual declarations on social data (DADS), this article studies these particular jobs. It presents some of their characteristics and it shows that their use by voluntary associations varies according to the fields of activity. It stresses that such jobs do not concern predominantly unskilled or low-skilled occupations, far from it. This research allows also us to give some characteristics of employees who hold these jobs. For four of them out of ten, casual jobs are the only type of job they have. The others have a main job in addition to the casual one but, despite the multiple jobs they hold, their total annual salary is often lower than the one of their counterparts without casual jobs.Si l’on excepte le cas très spécifique des particuliers employeurs, le secteur associatif est celui qui fait l’usage le plus intensif d’emplois occasionnels (ici assimilés aux postes annexes tels que définis par l’Insee) comparativement au secteur privé hors associations et au secteur public. Un poste sur trois y relève de cette catégorie. À partir d’une exploitation des déclarations annuelles de données sociales (DADS) cet article étudie ces emplois associatifs particuliers, en présente quelques caractéristiques et montre que leur fréquence est variable selon les domaines d’activité. Il souligne que ces emplois ne concernent pas principalement, tant s’en faut, des métiers peu ou pas qualifiés. Cette recherche permet également de présenter quelques caractéristiques des salariés qui occupent ces emplois associatifs occasionnels. Quatre d’entre eux sur dix ne connaissent que ce type d’emploi. Les autres ont un emploi principal par ailleurs mais, malgré ce cumul, leur salaire total reste souvent inférieur à celui de leurs homologues sans emploi occasionnel
