La ville, le SI et l'entreprise : du fonctionnel au multipolaire

National audienceThis conceptual paper proposes to identify and to characterize a new model to describe and pilot complexity across organizations, through a compared study on three objects: the town, the IS and the firm. After a summary of the principles of the functionalist model, we underline how the multipolar model is breaking with the previous one, and the new issues of management and organizational transformation. The corresponding IS tools, that are still largely in their infancy, will be key elements to manage multipolar firmsA travers une étude comparée de trois objets (la ville, le SI et l'entreprise), cet article conceptuel propose d'identifier et de caractériser un nouveau modèle de représentation et de pilotage de la complexité dans les organisations : le modèle multipolaire. Après une synthèse des principes du modèle fonctionnaliste, nous soulignons la rupture que marque le modèle multipolaire, ainsi que les nouvelles questions de management et de transformation des organisations qui se posent. L'outillage SI, encore largement en phase d'élaboration, sera un élément clé pour la gestion des entreprises multipolaire
