International audienceThe museum compound of the Titanic Belfast was inaugurated on March 31, 2012, in the immediate surroundings of the Harland & Wolff shipyards where the largest transatlantic cruise-liner of that time was built between 1909 and 1911. As a matter of fact, the museum compound is itself enshrined in a large urban project, the Titanic Quarter, jointly funded by the Northern Ireland Council on Tourism, the City council of Belfast, the Belfast Port Authority and the Titanic Quarter Ltd.
