International audienceThis article explains the posture of the entrepreneurs to profit opportunities by the cognitive space in which they move. The identification of opportunities depends on local knowledge of times and places had by entrepreneurs. Each entrepreneur identifies different opportunities because each entrepreneur has a local knowledge which is specific for him. This dispersion of knowledge is explained by the fact that the entrepreneurs do not move in same cognitive spaces. They are captive of what they know and what they know depends on the cognitive space which is theirs.
