International audienceThe Mexican federal state, with its diplomatic corps and infrastructure, is not alone in organizing activities directed toward emigrants in the U.S. Other levels of government are also involved, in particular various Mexican states which, after having founded public agencies dedicated to emigrants in their own capitals, have now established offices in several U.S. cities.
