International audienceAs part of the research in discourse analysis, our study intends to expand the investigation fields on intertextuality and polyphony to other kinds of underrepresented parts of speech, such as prepositions. In particular we’re trying to demonstrate that the preposition par ( across/by/through/ throughout/by means of…) acts as a polyphonic word as well as some famed expressions in French: mais, pourtant, par contre, en revanche, etc. ( but, even if, however, though, although, etc.).
