The basic dike swarms of Ecrins-Pelvoux area (french alps) displays 2 distincts magmatic association : 1/ lamprophyres dikes, with same SiO2 content (46 – 58%) showing all transition from aluminous subalcaline amphibole lamprophyre (vogésites) to metaluminous ultrapotassic phlogotite bearing lamprophyres (minettes). Relative incompatible elements abundance and similarities of ratio of these lamprophyres support a common metasomatised and heterogeneous mantie source.
