National audienceThis study deals with a new process which is based on machining technology without metal chip (such as ow forming or spinning) in order to produce hollow parts of revolution in steel. The paper aims to present numerical results of the process simulation. A particular attention is paid on difficulties linked with the complex kinematics, the contact management and the computation time that are often long. The results are discussed through a confrontational approach type models/experiment
