Sarıoğlu, Zeynep Seçil (Dogus Author)In this thesis, I will work on Mary Shelley's novel The Last Man and Percy Shelley's long narrative poem The Revolt of Islam, as they both have common points, such as autobiographical representation of these two prominent fıgures in their works. In addition, Percy Shelley's sociopolitical idealism is addressed by both, so that they each draw on his sociopolitical romantic ideology that he developed in the context of their time and under the influence of the important events then, like the French Revolution, the Holy Alliance, and the Greek Independence War.
