Detailed account of Bendix's experiences in several prisons and concentration camps, including Spandau, Brandenburg, Polizeigefaengnis Alexanderplatz, Lichtenburg, and Dachau. The first entry is dated form August 23, 1937, written at the Beth Olim of Hitachduth, Palestine. Three months before, Ludwig Bendix was released from the Dachau concentration camp under the condition that he would leave Germany a month later. The memoir has the form of an eyewitness report.
