AHC Interview with Elisabeth Kirsten.

September 30, 2003Elisabeth Kirsten (nee Boehm) was born in Vienna in 1915. In Vienna, she attended high school, and a "hotel management" school. Her father Adolf Boehm owned the Wattefabrik M. Boehm & Sohn in Vienna. He died in Auschwitz in 1944. Elisabeth Kirsten left Vienna in December 1938 and immigrated to the US via Germany on the ship "Manhattan". In the USA, she was in contact with the relief organization IMAS.
