Photocopies of correspondence primarily between Emil Neu in Offenburg and officials of the emigration office for the Reichsvereinigung der Juden in Deutschland, Bruno Löwenberg in Berlin and Sigmund Kapp in Karlsruhe. The correspondence describes possible emigration destinations from Germany in South America, Japan and other places, 1939-1940.Also included are 2 photographs from the synagogue in Offenburg and clippings about the Holocaust, 1988.The original correspondence is held at the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People in Jerusalem.A brochure about the Judaica collection in the 'Museum im Ritterhaus' in Offenburg, 1992, is deposited in the paper collection.A photo album about Offenburg has been removed to the LBI Photograph Collection.Born 1874 in Kindenheim (Rhineland Palatinate).digitize
