The collection holds photocopies of Wilhelm Stein’s curriculum vitae; vital- and education records; professional documents; a list of his publications and a few of his writings; as well as a memorial address in his honor. Also included are photocopies of photographs.Wilhelm Stein was born in Saaz, Bohemia (today Žatec, Czech Republic). He was educated in Teplitz (Teplice, Czech Republic) and in Prague, before working as a high school teacher in Vienna, Austria. After “Anschluss” he was forced into retirement. In 1939 he and his wife Margarete née Pick immigrated to the US, where he taught high schools in Florida and New York.
