Correspondence and official German documents, describing Dr. Eduard Blumberg's attempts to regain permission to practice medicine in Leipzig, Germany after 1933.Eduard Blumberg was born in Leipzig in 1895. As a physician and socialist, he co-founded the "Verein Sozialistischer Aerzte" in Leipzig. In 1933 he lost the permission to practice medicine. After the November pogrom in 1938, he was arrested and incarcerated in Buchenwald.
