Anna Ticho

Digital imageAnna Ticho was born in Czechoslovakia in 1894. She immigrated to Palestine in 1912 with her cousin, Dr. Ticho, an ophthalmologist whom she later married. Anna Ticho began to paint, and won international recognition. In later years she turned her home with its collections into a museum under the aegis of the Israel Museum. She died in Jerusalem in 198
