Postcard sent from the front by Monya Yasnogrodskii of the Premorsky Army Battalion (35 Military Post, Recovery Battalion, AD14) to his daughter [?] Malvina Naumovna Erlikhman in Tashkent, January 23, 1942. [Message dated December 24] "My darling, dear girl, Alyusik, my little one. My dear ones. Lyusik, darling, your postcard shocked me. Lyusenka, my joy, what's happening with our Allyuska, our bright girl, our fair, bright sweetie? I always yearn so much for her, have pined so much to see her, hear her ringing little voice. Our little one, merry little girl, good little girl. No, my dearest friend, let's still believe in miracles. I didn't receive anything from you in two months. I didn't know where you were. I kept writing to two addresses, Stalingrad and Tashkent, general delivery. I sent 600 rubles in cash to Tashkent and information. I waited for news fromyou and there it is: your postcard.
