In order to build a simple and effective method applicable to all species of the Homo genus, we searched for craniometrical marks that are independent of the great morphological variation of the cranio-cervical complex during the human evolution. The cranio-facial proportions of current and fossil Men enabled us to define easily locatable points which are not, or very little, affected by evolutionary trends among the various human lineages.
