URL: http://www.biom-hum.com/résumés%20%20t%2024%203-4.htm#RésumésInternational audienceABSTRACT In the current and fossil Men, the estimated position of the hyoid bone and, therefore, that of the larynx, constitutes an important parameter to reconstitute the geometry of their vocal tract. In order to build a simple and effective method applicable to all species of the Homo genus, we searched for craniometrical marks that are independent of the great morphological variation of the cranio-cervical complex during the human evolution. The cranio-facial proportions of current and fossil Men enabled us to define easily locatable points which are not, or very little, affected by evolutionary trends among the various human lineages. This work makes it possible to carry out a technique of statistical training and a simple formula to estimate the position of the larynx.Chez les Hommes actuels et fossiles, l'estimation de la position de l'os hyoïde, et donc celle du larynx, constitue un paramètre important pour reconstituer la géométrie de leur conduit vocal. Afin de proposer une méthode simple et efficace applicable au genre Homo, nous avons recherché des repères craniométriques indépendants de la grande variation morphologique craniocervicale au cours de l'évolution humaine. Les proportions craniofaciales des Hommes actuels et fossiles nous ont permis de définir des points facilement repérables et qui ne sont pas, ou très peu, affectés par les spéciations évolutives des différentes lignées. Ce travail a permis de mettre au point une méthode d'apprentissage statistique et une formule simple d'estimation de la position du larynx
