International audienceAn important part of natural language text comprehension is the understanding of temporal information. TimeML is a specification language designed for the markup of temporal information in natural language texts, with an original focus on the processing of English texts. This article details a pipeline of automatic annotation modules developed for the annotation of temporal information in French texts. We present the results of a preliminary evaluation which yields results comparable to existing systems for English and French. The development of these modules is part of a broader project for the creation of a set of resources for the temporal annotation of French texts according to the TimeML standard.La compréhension ...
