Mitogen activated protein kinases (MAPKs) are commonly utilized by many kinase pathways in response to stimulation by growth factors, cytokines, and environmental once activated, these kinases translocate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus stresses where they modify cellular responses by phosphorylating transcription factors.
