My artwork explores the relationship between natural phenomena and the changes in our daily life by focusing on the fragility and impermanence of the world we are a part of. Whether I am observing the waxing and waning of the moon in the sky above or documenting the movement of a shadow throughout the day, I look to everyday changes in my surroundings to understand our relationship to this constantly evolving world. My current body of work is process and research driven. Inspiration for these investigations has been everything from uncontrolled element of chance, to the observation of subtle movements over time, to records of indexical marks.
