Report and Recommendations of the National Bioethics Advisory Commission regarding the use of biological materials of human subjects in research.The National Bioethics Advisory Commission's report and recommendations, requested by the President of the United States (Executive order 12975), focus on how well existing federal policies protect human subjects from harm in research involving human biological materials; and do they provide clear direction to research sponsors, investigators, IRBs, and others regarding the conduct of research using these materials in an ethical matter
