MolhoThis work is concerned with the effects of magnetic fields on arborescence of zinc and iron obtained by electrochemical deposition in thin cell and with the magnetic properties of iron arborescences. For zinc under normal magnetic field, the macroscopic morphology changes are explained by the mechanical action, on the growing aggregate, of fluid convection induced by the Lorentz force. A weak effect is observed at the microscopic scale but none on the crystal structure. An in-plane magnetic field influences the growth only very weakly.
