Contact lines in interaction with a liquid flow are involved in many industrial or fondamental situations, We study sliding drops first along their symetry axis (Part 1), and then from a three-dimensional point of vue, measuring the contact angle distribution around this drop (Part 2) and the velocity field at its surface. We show that the situation is locally two-dimensional in the direction perpendicular to the contact line. The contact angle then only depends on the contact line velocity whom tangential part goes to zero at the contact line. When a corner singularity is observed at the rear of the drop, we show that the velocity eld is self similar.
