The aim of this study was to characterize at the molecular scale the maturity of a green waste/biowaste compost and its incorporation on a soil.Five new criteria of maturity were determined using thermo-gravimetry and thermochimiolysis. This technique has shown an increase in microbial activity (branched/linear monoacids ratio and mono-/diacids ratio). Moreover the oxidation of terpenoic compounds was observed. The study of humic substances (HS) organic matter (OM) did not show a direct link with free lipids.A silty soil amended with compost has its structural stability improved and a risk of erosion limited.
